According to IRNA, the ceremony was attended by Ali Mojtaba Rozbahani, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkmenistan; Maral Muradova, Director of the International Affairs of Daulat Muhammad Azadi State University; Bahar Ataniazova, Head of the Persian Language Department, and a group of professors and students.
In this ceremony, the Iranian ambassador briefly talked about Nizami also known as Hakim Nizami, calling him one of the gems of Iran. He touched on Nizami's works and his power in storytelling, illustration and character development as well as the poet’s skill to express his mystical and philosophical thoughts in the language of poetry.
Roozbahani also appreciated the emphasis of high Turkmen officials on the expansion of cultural cooperation between Tehran and Ashgabat.
Other parts of this ceremony were the recitation of Nizami’s story "Khosro and Shirin", reading of essays and poems by this great Persian poet by the students of Azadi State University.
